Thu May 22, 2008 A Regional Critical Weather Day (CWD) has been declared from 1700 UTC(1:00 PM EDT) Thu May 22 2008 through 0000 UTC Sat May 24 (8:00 PM EDT Fri). NCEP, NWSTG, NCF and NWS Central Region will participate in this CWD to ensure a reliable flow of data.
The CWD is in effect due to the threat of severe weather across the Plain States over the next 24-48 hours. It is possible that the CWD will be extended further into the future if weather conditions warrant.
Also, users can get an updated CWD status on the NCEP WEB page: http://www.nco.ncep.noaa.gov/pmb/cwd/ Joe Carr - SDM
