[nws-changes] 20080924: upper air-RRS replacement-Green Bay, Wisc

NOTE: The nws-changes mailing list is no longer active. The list archives are made available for historical reasons.

The NOAA National Weather Service MicroART upper air system at Green Bay, Wisconsin (WMO# 72645), will be decommissioned on or about October 3, 2008, and installation of the new Radiosonde Replacement System (RRS) will begin. No upper air observations will be provided from this office while RRS is being installed. Beginning October 14, 2008, or shortly thereafter, upper air observations will be issued using the RRS and GPS Mark IIA Sippican radiosondes.
