All, INFO! Sprint Emergency DS3 Circuit Maintenance scheduled for *_FRIDAY, 15JAN2010_*. *****PLEASE SHARE WITH STAFF*****All CR WFO's/RFC's *may* experience periodic NOAANet connectivity to CRHQ interruptions due to Sprint emergency maintenance, starting at 4pm CST and lasting until 830 pm CST. While we expect no interruption, the following impacts *could* occur in the event of a catastrophic failure of the backup DS3 circuit.
All CR WFO/RFCs are advised to keep network traffic to the minimum during this time. Avoid downloading large files, using any web based training and any streaming video/audio to help guarantee bandwidth availability during this maintenance window. Any interruption should be minimal and CRH IT staff will be monitoring all systems during this time. In the event there is an outage, the following services *may* be affected: - *_User access Impacts_* - Field access to Internet - All Field access from the CR VPN to the Field machines
- *_Data Distribution and Access Impacts_*__ - Radar 2 data flow - AHPS Data updates - Graphicast images updates- All LDM Feeds
- All rsync (IE: to taz.crh.noaa.gov) - Active Directory services access (to include EPO) AWIPS and Email will *NOT* be affected. Public WEB access will *NOT* be affected. CRH personnel will still have access to the CR VPN Service. CRH will send a follow up email when maintenance is completed. Thanks, Steve
