-------- Original Message --------Subject: [NCEP.List.ModelEvalInfo] restart of 30-day parallel for NAEFS upgrade
Date: Tue, 18 Jan 2011 17:50:19 -0500 From: Christine Caruso Magee <chris.caruso.magee@xxxxxxxx>Reply-To: NCEP.List.ModelEvalFeedback@xxxxxxxx, chris.caruso.magee@xxxxxxxx
To: ncep.list.ModelEvalInfo@xxxxxxxx CC: Daniel Starosta <Daniel.Starosta@xxxxxxxx> Hi All, After last Thursday's briefing for the NAEFS-Inclusion of FNMOC upgrade, it's been decided that the inclusion of the FNMOC ensembles will not be performed. The NAEFS upgrade includes other changes (e.g. new variables), so we are restarting the 30-day evaluation effective with tomorrow's 12Z cycle. The 30-day evaluation period will end Feb. 18. The amended TIN may be viewed at: http://www.weather.gov/os/notification/tin10-50naefs_aab.htm For those of you who participated in the first 30-day evaluation, we don't expect you to complete another full evaluation. We'd rather you confirm that the changes made to remove the FNMOC ensembles result in output comparable to the current production NAEFS, and to confirm that you can see the new variables in the output files. I will likely ask you to provide a slide or 2 at the end, but nothing major. Thanks, Chris
