The term "assessment" will be replaced with "outlook." The format of the U.S. Hazards Assessment will also change. The new format will separate the product forecast period, covering 3-14 days into the future, into two forecast periods: 3-7 days into the future 8-14 days into the future The four maps will be produced for each forecast period Precipitation-related Hazards Temperature/Wind-related Hazards Drought/Wildfire-related Hazards Composite of all Hazards. The content of the maps will be similar to the ones produced now for this product.
