Hoke Director, Hydrometeorological Prediction Center SUBJECT: Transition of NCEP HPC Probabilistic Winter Precipitation Forecasts for Days 1 -3 From Experimental to Operational Effective March 13, 2012 For CONUS OnlyEffective Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at 1200 Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), the National Centers for Environmental Prediction’s (NCEP) Hydrometeorological Prediction Center (HPC) will issue Probabilistic Winter Precipitation Forecasts for Days 1-3 on an operational basis for the contiguous United States (CONUS) only.
