Hi Pete,

This is something Siphon should be able to do, as ESGF is running a TDS,
but there would likely need to be some additions to the code base to allow
for authentication. I think ESGF will allow you to download an access token
that you can pass with a data requests to do the authentication...I
think...If that's the case, then we should add a feature request to Siphon
to allow it to use an authentication token. Any way to ping the grad
student (I know you message is a bit old) to see if they provide a token?
