Hi all,

I've tried installing 3.16 and have had the following problem - Tomcat
returns a 404 when I tried to access http://myhost/thredds/catalog.html.
What I have basically done is dump the thredds.war file in the
$CATALINA_HOME/webapps directory, I haven't touched any of 

Looking at catalina.out, I get the following message while thredds is
being installed:

DiskCache.setRootDirectory(): could not create root directory
</data/tmp/thredds/cache/>.

Am I suppose to create a /data/tmp/thredds/cache directory that is owned
by the tomcat user?

I'm using apache-tomcat 5.5 and JDK 1.5.0_11

Ah, I've left the server running, and I get the following error message:
