Hi NetCDF-Java and TDS users:I'm forwarding an invitation to provide anonymous input to the Unidata Users Committee to help guide evolution of the Unidata program.
Your input helps us advocate for an appropriate share of Unidata and NSF resource for TDS/CDM (or whatever Unidata software you say good things about).
Please participate! Thanks!! (Sorry if you've already seen this) ---------------------------------------------------- From: Tom Whittaker <whittaker@xxxxxxxx> Date: Tue, 14 Sep 2010 12:01:46 -0500 To: community@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Hello everyone.... The Unidata Users Committee has the responsibility to provide community-wide input to help guide the evolution of the Unidata program. At our Spring meeting, the Committee decided it was time to once again survey the user community in order to assess the use of data and tools, demographics, satisfaction with Unidata, etc., and a sub-committee was formed to create the 2010 Unidata Users Survey. Your anonymous input is always a vital part of defining and shaping the future of Unidata and providing supporting metrics for the National Science Foundation, since Unidata must write a grant proposal to NSF every 5 years to obtain core funding; therefore, we hope you will take just a few minutes to complete this on-line survey. Please click the link below to get started. NOTE: On the first page, it is important to answer completely your role(s) and the tools and data you use, since the rest of the survey questions are driven by these responses. <https://survey.ucar.edu/s?s=6102> We hope you will find this easy and convenient. If you have any problems or questions, please send an email to: survey@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Please complete the survey by October 8th so that we may begin the analysis of the results before our next Committee meetings. Thank you again for taking the time to help us out! Best wishes, Tom Whittaker (chair) on behalf of the Unidata Users Committee
