[thredds] Time duration for netcdf subsetting

I am having an issue where the thredds server is throwing an internal error
with the following url:

http://motherlode.ucar.edu:8080/thredds/ncss/grid/fmrc/NCEP/NDFD/CONUS_5km/NCEP-NDFD-CONUS_5km_best.ncd?spatial=bb&north=45.0312&west=-114.738&east=-112.474&south=42.777&time_start=present&time_duration=P3D&var=Maximum_temperature,Total_cloud_cover,Wind_direction_from_which_blowing,Wind_speed

but if I remove the time_duration=P3D, i can get a dataset.  Is anyone else
seeing issues with the time_duration tag?
