Well, I've dug around and not seen anything promising other than a post from 3/8/2012 saying it will be a part of 1.2.17. When I dig around in the repos for log4j there is not 1.2.17 branch or tag.. not even a 1.2.17alpha, etc. :-( There is 1.3, but in the repos it says that 1.3 has been abandoned for 2.x.
