VisAD And Geographical Data

Hi there,

I have looked through quite a bit of the VisAD documentation, but still can't
see quite how to go about a simple geographical mapping type task.

How, for example, would I write a VisAD application that shows a coastline map
of a given region and displays some numerical data such as contours or wind
barbs over the top?

How do I actually get the coastline data displayed and how, for example, do I
convert from lat/long coords to data coords.

I wonder if someone could help me out with a snippet of code, or at least point
me in the right direction...

Thanks in advance,
Justin
