Test57.java and Test58.java in visad/examples demonstrate how to use it, for Java3D and Java2D. Please let me know if you continue to have problems. By the way, some users have commented that their images now look different. This is caused by VisAD's new capability to texture map onto curved surfaces. If you do not like this look, you can disable it by: GraphicsModeControl mode = display.getGraphicsModeControl(); mode.setCurvedSize(-1); or even: mode.setTextureEnable(false); which will disable texture mapping even on flat rectangles.
