I too have been eager to get VisAD running on a Linux box. I recently
set up a VisAD "data server" on a Linux box running a recent Debian
distribution. I am using a souped up NT box to display the data via RMI.
It's working quite well so far. I'm glad to see Java3D is available for
Linux now so I can get rid of NT. Anyone have any graphics card
suggestions for Linux? I currently have a Diamond FireGL 4000 on the NT
box.

Regards,
Doug
