Some classes in VisAD import classes from Java3D, so you need to
install Java3D for VisAD to compile. There is a link to Java3D
on the VisAD web page under "Prerequisites".

The alternative is to download the visad.jar file containing
precompiled classes, and add it to you CLASSPATH (don't unpack
it).

You need to also include "." in your CLASSPATH, to run the
classes in visad/examples.
