All these problems with RealType.Longitude are caused by the automatic detection and correction of lines and polygons that wrap. Please try increasing the number of segments that you divide your Longitude spans into. If 4 doesn't work for -190 to 190, try 12 or something larger. Similarly for your slice: break it into segments along its Longitude dimension. Another alternative is to use a RealType other than Longitude, but you may need some of its special logic.
