FYI VisAD folks - There are two emails below: one on the status of Java3D for Mac OSX (Mach/FreeBSD env), and another requesting information on interesting Java3D based applications. MichaelSchulman@xxxxxxx is the person to respond to. I don't recall seeing this on the VisAD list before so apologies if this is redundant. cheers - don Don Middleton Head, Visualization & Enabling Technologies Scientific Computing Division National Center for Atmospheric Research http://www.scd.ucar.edu/vets PO Box 3000; Boulder, Co. 80307-3000 Voice:303-497-1250 Cell:303-589-5865 FAX:303-497-1286 ----- Original Message ----- From: "Michael Schulman" <Michael.Schulman@xxxxxxx> To: <don@xxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, March 28, 2001 9:42 AM Subject: Re: Java3D? > Apple needs to enter into a license agreement with Sun for this to happen. > > We will let everyone know when Apple and Sun put this together. > > > > From: "Don Middleton" <don@xxxxxxxx> > > To: <java-dev@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> > > Cc: <don@xxxxxxxx> > > Subject: Java3D? > > Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit > > X-BeenThere: java-dev@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > > X-Mailman-Version: 2.0 > > List-Help: <mailto:java-dev-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=help> > > List-Post: <mailto:java-dev@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> > > List-Subscribe: <http://www.lists.apple.com/mailman/listinfo/java-dev>, > <mailto:java-dev-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=subscribe> > > List-Id: This list is for the discussion of Java development > <java-dev.lists.apple.com> > > List-Unsubscribe: <http://www.lists.apple.com/mailman/listinfo/java-dev>, > <mailto:java-dev-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe> > > List-Archive: <http://www.lists.apple.com/archives/java-dev/> > > Date: Tue, 27 Mar 2001 23:04:18 -0700 > > > > Any news on Java3D for OS X? > > > > don > > _______________________________________________ > > java-dev mailing list > > java-dev@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > > http://www.lists.apple.com/mailman/listinfo/java-dev > > ------------------- > Michael A.
