jar problem

visad list;

I am having a problem unpacking the
visad.jar file (or the  visad_src-2.0.jar).
I am using Intel Pent II 400mhz, linux/RedHat 6.2,
and get the following error from jar xvf visad.jar:

$ jar xvf visad.jar
   created: META-INF/

and META-INF/ is empty.
