Yes, we don't try to manage version numbers. Instead, there
is a file named DATE in our jar files, that contains the
date and time that the jar file was built. This is useful
since you can compare the date against bug and fix reports
in visad-list.

But of course, when in doubt, download the latest copy of
VisAD.

Good suggestion. AxisScale has been in visad.jar for several
months.
