visad/examples/Test28.java is a very simple example of
vector rendering. If you can compile Fortran on a Sun Sparc
you can also see vector rendering in visad/aune/ShallowFluid.java.

Basically vector rendering uses ScalarMaps to Flow1X, Flow1Y,
Flow1Z, etc. There are other examples in the main() methods
of BarbManipulationRendererJ3D.java, SwellRendererJ3D.java,
etc, etc in the visad/bom directory.
