Re: multiple perspectives?

Hello,

Just wondering something:

Can visad support multiple perspectives i.e. can a same DataObject

be shared by different views (but views remain independant)?

I'm not sure what you are asking. If you are asking can
a data object be displayed in several different displays,
the answer is yes. You would just use the same data object
for the setData() call of any DataReference in a display.
The caveat would be that if you are linking a FieldImpl
with a DirectManipulationRenderer in a DataReference, then
if you manipulate the object, the data changes will be
reflected in all views of that data (which can be a good
thing).

Please let me know what you mean by "views" - data depictions,
or separate displays?
