That error indicates that 'javac' had an abnormal exit (code=1). With no other output, it is difficult to acertain the reason for this. Have you been able to compile Java code otherwise? I tried a couple a variants, but could not get just those two lines of output...there was always more info displayed (windows 2000, nmake version 1.50)
