Hi John,

This is a heavyweight (3D display) vs. lightweight (JMenu) issue. You
can correct your problem by doing the following before you set up your
GUI:

JPopupMenu.setDefaultLightWeightPopupEnabled( false );
ToolTipManager.sharedInstance().setLightWeightPopupEnabled( false );
