This bounced from the list, so I'm resending... -------- Original Message -------- Subject: Re: ddraw.dll problems Date: Thu, 02 Jan 2003 11:37:03 -0600 From: Tom Whittaker <tomw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: Frank Gibbons <fgibbons@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> CC: VisAD <visad-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> References: <5.0.0.25.2.20030102114026.00ae79a8@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Frank: One of the error messages you sent along contains a reference to "C:\Program Files\JavaSoft\...". Unless you actually installed everything in that directory, there should _never_ be a reference to that when running your jython scripts. The start-up batch files (jy.bat, for example) should always (and _only_) point to the 'jre' subdirectory within the install directory. Please double-check the execution path in the batch file to be sure it is indeed pointed to the java.exe that came with the installer and not some other one you might have on your machine. There should not be any reference to other versions of the java runtime on your machine. If you have your .py files in a directory other than the install directory, you might want to put the 'jy.bat' file into some directory in your PATH, and explicitly set the JYTHON_PATH environment variable used therein, to point to the install directory. Hope that helps!
