The "Please wait ..." messages are appropriate, since you are constantly re-transforming Data into depictions. If you add a small delay to your loop for updating your line it may be less noticeable. Also, you might be able to get rid of it by extending DefaultDisplayRendererJ3D and over-riding the drawCursorStringVector() method. Good luck, Bill
