There is no official announcement, but a couple of Sun
employees said this is what they expect to happen on
the java3d-interest@xxxxxxxxxxxx mailing list. Also, I
have been complaining loudly to Sun and Apple folks,
and they suggest help is on the way.

I am open to persuasion, but I don't think so. As long as
Java3D makes it to all the Java platforms, I doubt another
3-D API would add much for VisAD users.
