Re: writing to HDF-EOS

Sorry to say that it does not. VisAD support for netCDF files
is much more robust, and does support creating and writing
files. We generally prefer the netCDF file format. For large
data sets we also advocate server protocols like OpenDAP and
ADDE, enabling clients to download only those parts of large
files that they need.
