Hi Bill, yes sorry, i was being sloppy in my description.
RealType.Latitude and Longitude ARE
scalar mapped to the displayrealtypes built with the display side coord
system, just like in visad/examples/MapProjectionDisplay.java

I don't fully understand your point about setRange, but I'm glad enough
that the approach with just one pair of scalar maps is preferred.
