hello, i've been searching this forum for several days now, still not found an answer to my questions - so i try to ask here: i want to do some visualization of a structure composed of several cylinders in 3d. the user should be able to set cutting planes in the 3d view and see the plane in a seperate 2d window. since the cylinders are hollow i guess the best method for generation is to use some sort of trianglestriparray (drawing the "mantle" of each cylinder). i enjoyed the visad tutorial and several example programs shipping with visad source. found some examples concerning cutting planes but to me it seems like they do the cutting with volumes rather than areas. any ideas whether this is possible? thank you very much for suggestions. greetings martin -- 5 GB Mailbox, 50 FreeSMS http://www.gmx.net/de/go/promail +++ GMX - die erste Adresse für Mail, Message, More +++
