Graham -- There are 3 directories in the visad.jar that deal with HDF things: visad/data/hdfeos, visad/data/hdf5, and ncsa/hdf5. While I do not have a build without these classes, I believe you can use the 'zip' program to remove these entries: cp visad.jar visad.jar.back zip -d visad.jar *hdf* I did this and then was able to run the VisAD Spreadsheet from the updated JAR file. Hi all, While trying to debug some problems we have on an existing system built against visad and jhdf, I have found that the visad jars include jhdf code inside it, that is clashing with the external jhdf jar. Is there a copy of the visad.jar published anywhere that does not embed its dependencies within it?
