Hey Pete, > Hi Shay and thanks for the quick response. We are not placing the grib files > in > the manual directory at all. This "just happens" and we are wondering why. > Here > are the details... > > 1. We pull in a grib file from the NOAA Server (home grown script using wget) > 2. We place the grib file in /awips2/data_store/ingest/ > 3. The rest is done by EDEX and what we notice is the following > a. EDEX continually polls /awips2/data_store/ingest/ for a grib file > b. After detecting a grib file in /awips2/data_store/ingest/ it removes the > file from /awips2/data_store/ingest/ and processes it. The result is > - HDF5 files in /awips2/edex/data/hdf5/grid > - copy of the grib file is placed in /awips2/data_store/manual/grib Sorry for the confusion, the /awips2/data_store/ingest directory is our manual endpoint (http://unidata.github.io/awips2/edex/new-grid/#download-test-data). So instead of placing the files in that location, use the python script to insert them into the EDEX queue.
