>From: Mark Anderson <address@hidden> >Organization: University of Nebraska-Lincoln >Keywords: 200002212031.NAA01679 McIDAS archive data Mark, >I will get to the files tonight to try them. Yes I got your first email but >decided it was to difficult to convert here. I will see if your conversion >works. The data is there, so it should be fine, but... >By the way, will neartime MD files ever be available from SSEC? Probably not. All non-imagery data was removed from the Unidata-Wisconsin datastream back on July 1, 1999. The stuff available from the archive is what actually went out in the broadcast (or was supposed to go out), so there won't be any MD stuff to put in the archive. >Thanks Make sure to FTP the files in binary mode! Tom >From address@hidden Wed Feb 23 18:50:12 2000 I tried to read the files but could not. Hey, I just went and down loaded some other historical data from SSEC and will use that for my lab this week (The reason I wanted the data in the first place). It would be nice to be able to get this type of data from SSEC. I guess this is just another reason to learn GEMPAK and forget McIDAS. Mark
