Loss of POES, GMS, and Met-7 Data

Between 9:00 and 15:00 UTC on Julian day 067 unauthorized attempts were
made to access several of the SSEC Data Center ingestors. While the
attempts to access the ingestors failed, it did result in a loss of data
and an inability to access data. A summary of the losses can be found
below.

We are continuing to investigate alternatives to improve the security of
the Data Center machines.

Data losses are as follows:

No POES data was ingested between 09:00 - 15:00 UTC
No GMS data was ingested between 09:30 - 15:42 UTC
No Meteosat-7 data was ingested from 12:30 -15:30 UTC

The Meteosat-7 data was recovered from a backup ingestor, and is now
available.

GVAR and NOAAPORT data were unaffected by these attempts.
