Immediately after seeing your message, I logged onto rainbow and verified that there were lots of 'Processed oldest product' messages in the LDM log file, ~ldm/logs/ldmd.log. I then put up plots of the LDM-gathered metrics ('ldmadmin plotmetrics'), and I saw that the load average on rainbow had been increasing up to the 7 value that I saw when logging on. In order to test to see if LDM-6.11.7 would run better, I switched back to its use: <as 'ldm'> ldmadmin stop && rm runtime && ln -s ldm-6.11.7 runtime && ldmadmin start I now have a tailing 'less' on the LDM log file looking to see if the 'Processed oldest product' messages come back.
