All five image data servers whose URLs are supplied by the IDV are operational and the IDV can get data from them and make displays, as shown in the attached picture. The information in the IDV about servers is correct. These servers are widely known and used by the Unidata community. You can test whether your system can get through to a service online with "ping," for example enter the command ping papagayo.unl.edu results should look like PING papagayo.unl.edu (129.93.52.150) from 128.117.140.99 : 56(84) bytes of data. 64 bytes from papagayo.unl.edu (129.93.52.150): icmp_seq=0 ttl=245 time=18.941 msec 64 bytes from papagayo.unl.edu (129.93.52.150): icmp_seq=1 ttl=245 time=19.545 msec 64 bytes from papagayo.unl.edu (129.93.52.150): icmp_seq=2 ttl=245 time=13.232 msec 64 bytes from papagayo.unl.edu (129.93.52.150): icmp_seq=3 ttl=245 time=13.209 msec 64 bytes from papagayo.unl.edu (129.93.52.150): icmp_seq=4 ttl=245 time=13.215 msec 64 bytes from papagayo.unl.edu (129.93.52.150): icmp_seq=5 ttl=245 time=13.204 msec --- papagayo.unl.edu ping statistics --- 7 packets transmitted, 7 packets received, 0% packet loss round-trip min/avg/max/mdev = 13.195/14.934/19.545/2.732 ms **************************************************************************** Unidata User Support UCAR Unidata Program 303 497 8643 P.O.
