Please note that we haven't updated the tutorial to be in sync with the 1.2b1 release so some of the widgets from the tutorial may look different in the 1.2b1 release. The basic jist should be the same though. The error you found was wrong for any version though. >I am using IDV 1.2b1 on Mac OS 10.3.6. It looks like it can't find Java 3D. Did you install this before installing the IDV? If not, see the System Requirements: http://my.unidata.ucar.edu/content/software/idv/docs/userguide/Systems.html for information on downloading and installing Java 3D for the Mac. >****************** >Stack trace: >java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/vecmath/Tuple3f > at ucar.visad.display.SelectorPoint.<init>(SelectorPoint.java:101) > at ucar.visad.display.ZSelector.init(ZSelector.java:124) > at ucar.visad.display.ZSelector.<init>(ZSelector.java:76) > at ucar.unidata.idv.control.PlanViewControl.init(PlanViewControl.java:2 > 69) > at ucar.unidata.idv.control.DisplayControlImpl.init(DisplayControlImpl. > java:885) > at ucar.unidata.idv.control.DisplayControlImpl.init(DisplayControlImpl. > java:760) > at ucar.unidata.idv.control.DisplayControlImpl.initAfterUnPersistence(D > isplayControlImpl.java:858) > at ucar.unidata.idv.IdvPersistenceManager.instantiateFromBundle(IdvPers > istenceManager.java:1833) > at ucar.unidata.idv.IdvPersistenceManager.decodeXmlInner(IdvPersistence > Manager.java:1626) > at ucar.unidata.idv.IdvPersistenceManager.access$1000(IdvPersistenceMan > ager.java:76) > at ucar.unidata.idv.IdvPersistenceManager$9.run(IdvPersistenceManager.j > ava:1584) > at ucar.unidata.util.Misc$2.run(Misc.java:1681) > > > Don Murray NOTE: All email exchanges with Unidata User Support are recorded in the Unidata inquiry tracking system and then made publicly available through the web.
