>From: Ryan May <address@hidden> >Organization: Oklahoma University >Keywords: 200502091717.j19HHrv2016815 IDV netcdf radar Hi Ryan- >I'm trying to view some of my radar data using the IDV, but I can't get >the IDV to recognize it as radar data. I've looked at the java source, >as well as an example CDL I was given, and I think I've gotten the file >into a form that should be recognizable to the IDV. If I look at the >details for the file when the IDV loads it, however, the description is >"Geogrid data source". I've attached the CDL for my file. Is there >something I'm missing here? When you open this file, try setting the data type to Netcdf Sweepfile and see if that works for you. By default, netCDF files will be opened as grids. If this doesn't work, could put put out a sample file for us to test with? Also, we are in the process of revamping our support for various radar formats through a new netCDF API. Would you be interested in reviewing our proposed interface?
