Thanks in advance for your help. The class is probably the visad.data.vis5d.V5DStruct class which is what reads in the Vis5D file. In particular, the following params are defined: /** Limit on 5-D grid rows */ private static final int MAXROWS = 400; /** Limit on 5-D grid columns */ private static final int MAXCOLUMNS = 400; which was taken from v5d.h. If you can send me the changes you make in Vis5D, I'll look at rolling them back into the core VisAD reader. A quick scan says that these values are only checked against what is read from the file and there are no arrays that are pregenerated using these sizes. If that's the case, then there should be no problem changing these values. I'll check with authors just to make sure.
