Hi Yan, re: > I am new to IDV. I am facing a problem about the connection in all of > the different adde servers. Earlier I have added the adde server of the > HIMAWARI satellite to the "add new server" of the IDV. What interface were you using in the IDV? Your description makes it sound like you are using McIDAS-V not the IDV. re: > However, it had > failed. After that, I removed the existing himawari adde server to the > list of all available servers. The next is this problem came: > > "Connecting to server:satepsanone.nesdis.noaa.gov himawari: unknown error" The only public data set on server satepsanone.nesdis.noaa.gov is PUB; HIMAWARI data is not served on this machine. re: > This always prompt me whenever I try to connect to all data servers > even though before, it is working, I think this is due to what I have > made about adding an adde server. It looks like you tried to enter the server name as "satepsanone.nesdis.noaa.gov himawari". This should be: Server: satepsanone.nesdis.noaa.gov The name of the server is case insensitive Dataset: PUB PUB is the only public dataset served by satepsanone.nesdis.noaa.gov The name of the Dataset _is_ case sensitive. As far as we know, there is no ADDE server that provides free access to HIMAWARI data.
