Even if the input and output redirection were to work, (although we've already established that it won't) there might be another bug. (Or perhaps it's a feature from your perspective...) There may be several products that will match the ^[AF]SUS0[12] pattern. For each one, pqact.conf will spawn another my_decode.pl process. From the way the entry is written, each my_decode.pl process will be trying to write to the same file. The results could be quite scrambled. FYI.
