Jim-I would submit that as a support request to support-idv@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. That would indicate a bug in the projection code. Supplying an underlying image that would show the correct location would be helpful. I tried the urban area background map, but the lifts are just on the edge of the available areas.

Jeff et al.: Much thanks. Reading the .zip file rather than the .shp file does the job...almost. Unfortunately, there is a positioning error of perhaps 0.1 to 0.2 degrees lat-lon. I'll take a look into this later, but if others have seen this and know of a quick fix, let me know. These are available for the state of Utah at: http://gis.utah.gov/sgid-vector-download/utah-sgid-vector-gis-data-layer-download-index?fc=SkiLifts However, I haven't been able to get them to plot using the add your own map option or directly via the data chooser. Is this functionality presently built into IDV? I tried out the IDV (the newest version) with the statewide .zip file and it loads and displays fine. You can either load it as a data source or through the Map Display->Edit->Add your own map menu. -Jeff_______________________________________________ idvusers mailing list idvusers@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx For list information, to unsubscribe, visit: http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/mailing_lists/
