I, almost daily, wish LDM didn't do this... Then I wish I wouldn't write buggy decoders and things become a wash :)
I whined to Unidata about this a few moons ago. http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/support/help/MailArchives/ldm/msg05296.htmlI found in the code how this situation could occur, but was not clever enough to figure out how to write a patch to fix it...
