John,
 
I could also provide a "reasonable" portion of the BUFR messages as they are 
collected from the GTS for a day.  This will not be all of the BUFR on the GTS. 
 We only retain copies of the observations that we are interested in, but it is 
a significant portion of the both the met and ocean data available.
 
I am not in the office currently and could not work on this until next week.

thanks Roy!

Just to be clear, I only want the BUFR portion of the GTS. OTOH, I can extract 
the BUFR if one had files with everything thrown in. Also, Id like to get a 
complete set, if thats possible.
