Visad on Macintosh

Has anyone successfully had VisAd working on a macintosh? Is there
something that one has to do to get it running that is different from Unix
machines. I was trying to
compile and run some of the examples that come with VisAd and I can get
them to work
on unix machines but not on the Macintosh. All the examples I tried did
not require java 3d (they compile without it on the unix machine) so I
don't believe that is causing the problem. Thanks.
