Maohai,

This is a complex problem. I'm home for the weekend so can't
dig too deeply, but do have one idea for a possible fix. I
put this fix in the visad.jar and visad_src-2.0.jar in:

  ftp://ftp.ssec.wisc.edu/pub/visad-2.0/untested/

If you get a chance, please try this fix.
