Hi there, > I just downloaded the Microsoft installer for AWIPS CAVE and upon launching > the application > and trying to connect to the edex-cloud.unidata.ucar.edu server, I get an > error message > "unable to post request to server". The additional details window shows this > as being caused > by a connection timeout. Which version of CAVE are you trying to run (v18 or v20)? I was able to connect to both of our servers this morning. If you clear caveData (http://unidata.github.io/awips2/appendix/common-problems/#windows) and restart CAVE, do you still see the problem? If so, can you expand the details section and copy the entire output and send us that? If it's still persisting, it's likely being caused by some kind of firewall on your side. Please let us know.
