1. You have mispelled --with-hdf5 (you have --with-hd5).  not even sure it
accepts this flag.

2. Could you please try and add the hdf5 to the LDFLAGS?
LDFLAGS="-L/export/apps/computer/hdf5-1.8.17-linux-centos6-x86_64-gcc447-shared/lib
$LDFLAGS"

for instance.
